| For those who were not aware all our
koi are selected by us on our frequent trips to Japan. All koi are
shipped direct to us from the breeders with no mixing of water anywhere
!!, In fact since the summer of 2005 no fish have been bought through
third partys in this country (this is not a reflection on people we
used to buy from we just think it is a better way forward for us and
our customers) On arrival the fish are kept for 16 degrees for 48
hours then raised to 26 degrees for two weeks, they are then cooled
back down to 16 degees for 48 hours the raised back to 26 degrees
for a further two weeks, after this the heaters are turned off and
the koi are allowed to cool down natuarally to ambient temperatures.
During this time koi are allowed to be sold but NONE will leave the
premises untill this period is finished. Gary and Sue |
